The Little Dairy
Established in 2017, Cashaโs unique cow with calf dairy produces delicious organic milk, milkshakes, soft-cheese, cream and yogurt and raw milk too.
A cow with calf dairy is a different approach to dairy farming. Casha believes and is proving, along with other cow with calf dairies across the UK. Dairy can be done differently.
Cashaโs cows rear their calves from the moment they are born to a natural weaning age of 6-12 months old depending on the individual cow - calf bond. Our cows get milked once a day, ensuring the cows have ample milk left to feed their calf.
UPDATE* May 2025 - We are back! Find our dairy products in our farm shop!

Queer Ecology Walk with Tom
1st June 2025
Queer Ecology Walk info-
Come on a journey through the infinitely diverse relationships that make our universe tick. We will be using queer perspectives to challenge and question preconceived ideas about our wild world and, by meeting the non human beings around us we will see examples of non binary fineries that demonstrate the Queerness of our universe.
On this walk we will explore the abundant plants and other wildlife that make up our islands. We will look at the stories and common names that tell of the rich cultural history between humans and plants on these Isles. The plants will share their stories and help us to read the landscape, find food, medicine, materials and belonging in our wounded world. Using my experience I will help you to relearn or reawaken ways of connecting to the Land and how to start rescuing our bountiful biodiverse home

Why volunteer? When you come and volunteer at Babbinswood Community Garden so many experiences and benefits can open up for you: These benefits include: Fresh Food โ Many studies have shown the shorter the distance between harvest and table, the better the food is for you. If you cannot grow food in your home, our community garden which is totally organic will allow you to help grow healthy fruits and vegetables for yourself and others at Babbinswood.
When in season a small veg box to take home from the garden is our thank-you for your volunteering with us and of course free hot or cold drinks and biscuits are always available. Friendships โ Gardeners, by nature, are a giving group. When gardening happens, it places a number people of with a common interest in a small area. Friendships and deep bonds are bound to happen. Teaches you valuable skills โ from growing food from seed, learning about increasing soil health, and overall care for the garden. Along with increasing the wildlife through developing our new perennial food forest, you will have a wealth of information, knowledge that will help build on your already valuable skill set. Our volunteer days are currently on pause - but please get in touch if you would like to know when they start up again!
